Christmas

I got a little green mp3 player for christmas, it was not at all my intention to be _that_ good, but I don't mind. All afternoon our family's little techie raced around the house from mp3 player to mp3 player, projector to camcorder, computer to computer. He was thrilled to the point of distraction (but dad saved him from an asthma attack with helpful arm waves, ask him to show you) and he was so very ~involved~ that instead of letting him take over my computer and ipod, I somehow completely repressed my administrative password, which came to me as soon as he fell asleep. So just now I went to install itunes, and it insisted that I read the usage agreement, which was appallingly repetitive, but I found this and realized that I must post it so as to save lives, lives of people who are to lazy to read their user agreements: THE APPLE SOFTWARE IS NOT INTENDED FOR USE IN THE OPERATION OF NUCLEAR FACILITIES, AIRCRAFT NAVIGATION OR COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS, AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEMS, LIFE SUPPORT MACHINES OR OTHER EQUIPMENT IN WHICH THE FAILURE OF THE APPLE SOFTWARE COULD LEAD TO DEATH, PERSONAL INJURY, OR SEVERE PHYSICAL OR ENVIRONMENTAL DAMAGE And now you know. Happy Christmas (I am not good with time zones, but I assume it is still christmas in lots of places)

  1. Apple software isn't to be used in nuclear facilities!? Or where its failure could cause environmental damage?

Who knew they were so enlightened. They certainly use a ton of packaging in their products! I suppose most of it is paper, and good feedstock for recycling, now that I think about it.

  2. the packages are so, so pretty. I am keeping mine. The packaging is art, like on the moisture primer power of the see capsules tht are in the upstairs bathroom for no reason.
