The area now known as Wales has been inhabited by modern humans for at least 29,000 years, though continuous human habitation dates from the period after the last ice age.
I think Wales is firmly on my list of places to live, the others being Washington and Japan. I looked into Welsh colleges, though, and they're a bit... unfamiliar, maybe. But I speak the language, at least- can you imagine trying to attend the University of Tokyo your first year in Japan?
