Consider this fellow. He's digging through our dumpster. Where we live, once per year you can request a dumpster, and ACI drops it off and you spend a week filling it up.
They only request that "trash" be bagged, to keep the recyclables clean. So, what's a broken coffee maker? Recyclable? Trash? We filled that dumpster with stuff that we haven't been able to give away, repair, dissassemble and recycle, or too large to fit into the weekly pick-up. In other words, if it's in that dumpster, it's already been picked over, two or three times.
This guy managed to find four strips of aluminum and a yellow shirt. The rest of it is, well, the busted up offal of over-consumption. Stuff of such exceedingly low value that even a dumpster picker can ignore it.
